DINWIDDIE, Va. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Extreme at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL U.S. Drags V listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Right Lane: Tommy D'Aprile Runs 3.821/180.52, Now #13; Best prior run: 3.909/193.13, Was #13
2:10 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 58 percent, barometer 29.70 inches, adjusted altitude 2,727 feet, track temperature 125 degrees.
Snyder's car started getting sideways and he lifted. D'Aprile was on a good
pace, but it sounded like the car never shifted into high gear.

Right Lane: Alex Hossler Runs 6.939/106.50, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.677/205.72, Was #3
Oh-for-two, both drivers launching into tire shake and lifting.

Right Lane: Neal Wantye Runs 7.966/76.85, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.944/80.86, Was #21
Jay Diedrich is on the bump spot at 3.947.
Both overpowered the track, neither will make the field.
Left Lane: Danny Lowry Runs 3.855/198.58, Now #14; Best prior run: 3.919/195.03, Was #14
Right Lane: Chris Russo Runs 7.519/58.48, Now #15; Best prior run: 3.936/198.38, Was #15
Nice run by Lowry, his best ever with the twin-turbo car. Russo shook and lifted.
Left Lane: Von Smith Runs 5.345/85.29, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.769/204.66, Was #10
Right Lane: Junior Ward No Time, Now #17; Best prior run: 3.954/190.86, Was #17
Ward was just bumped from the field. Jay Diedrich is on the bump spot at 3.947.
Smith shook, Ward apparently broke
the throttle cable, the engine abruptly dying on the launch.
Left Lane: John Stanley Runs 3.803/198.35, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.804/196.99, Was #12
Right Lane: Clint Thompson Runs 3.968/196.42, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.242/82.78, Was #21
Stanley ran a thousandth better than his first run today. Thompson finally got a full pass, but missed the field.
Left Lane: Art McMahan No Time, Now #20; Best prior run: 5.416/98.46, Was #20
Right Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 5.218/91.58, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.701/205.10, Was #4

Left Lane: Jay Diedrich Runs 8.442/54.28, Now #16; Best prior run: 3.947/196.04, Was #16
Right Lane: Randell Reid Runs 4.858/98.42, Now #19; Best prior run: 4.040/163.00, Was #19
Diedrich is on the bump spot, Reid wants to get into the field.
Diedrich shook and got sideways, shaking so hard that
the chute came out. Reid also shook hard, so Diedrich dodged a bullet.
Left Lane: Terry Leggett Runs 6.408/78.20, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.707/205.38, Was #7
Right Lane: Frankie Taylor Runs 3.693/207.02, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.705/201.49, Was #6
Leggett shook and slowed early in the run. Taylor made an excellent pass to move up a couple spots, showing that the track is there if you know how to set the car up.
Left Lane: Todd Martin Runs 3.807/170.60, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.784/200.47, Was #11
Right Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 10.409/59.68, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.766/204.48, Was #9
Tutterow shook and slowed. Martin was on a quick run, but the engine let go with a big BOOM before the stripe. Looks like the cleanup will be for parts and pieces, no oil, and the staging lanes are empty.
