Left Lane: John Decerbo Runs 7.690/72.40, Now #18; Best prior run: 4.790/105.85, Was #17 Right Lane: Chris Juliano Runs 4.616/153.70, Now #17; Best prior run: 5.955/85.86, Was #19 Decerbo and Juliano are the first "not-qualified" cars of the session. But he misses on his last chance, the car going into instant shake on the launch. Juliano got down the track, but was forced to get out of the throttle a couple of times for shake. Left Lane: Pat Stoken Runs 4.297/133.25, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.907/193.79, Was #9 Right Lane: Ed Burnley Runs 4.976/104.76, Now #11; Best prior run: 4.000/186.51, Was #11 Both cars went silent at half track, possibly on purpose. Both made good launches with no visible problems. Patrick shut off early, could not see why from here. Right Lane: Jamie Hancock Runs 4.353/173.94, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.261/104.79, Was #19 Hancock needed to beat Tommy Franklin's 4.505 to get in and Hancock did it, but it wasn't the easy way. He launched, shook, did a good job of pedaling and bumped into the field. Rickie Jones was supposed to run beside Hancock, but had problems
when he tried to start the car and the crew is worjing on the car, trying to fix the problem before the end of the session. Left Lane: Jason Harris Runs 5.236/90.09, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.129/179.04, Was #14 Right Lane: Bob Rahaim Runs 4.926/104.69, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.840/195.36, Was #3 Oh-for-two, Harris shaking straight ahead, Rahaim getting very sideways. Left Lane: John Bartunek Runs 4.587/119.43, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.066/175.52, Was #13 Right Lane: Doug Riesterer Runs 4.245/178.31, Now #15; No Prior Run This will be Riesterer's only qualifying run...he was not here yesterday, showed up for today's two runs, but was shut off in the first session. Shannon Jenkins is on the bump spot at 4.442. One of them will race this afternnon, but not both. Bartunek was all over the track, did not improve, but the story was in the other lane. Riesterer lainched, shook and got
slightly sideways, then did a great job of pedaling his way out of it without losing much time. He's in, Jenkins is out, and Jamie
Hancock is on the bump spot at 4.353. He's safe, there are no cars in the lanes to bump him out. Left Lane: Burton Auxier Runs 3.899/193.46, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.841/195.73, Was #4 Auxier looks like he's ready for eliminations - that's his second good run of the day. Left Lane: Robert Patrick Jr Runs 3.873/193.02, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.934/190.14, Was #10 Patrick was all over the track and he never lifted, making the quickest run of the session.
