NORWALK, Ohio - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Extreme at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags V:

5:50 p.m. D'Aprile was in as an alternate for Von Smith. He had a great light in the new car and held off Scruggs for the holeshot victory. Tommy D'Aprile's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.005), 330 ft(0.051). MOV: 0.0104 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

Tutterow shook and slowed. Leggett made a career-best run to take the unchallenged win.

This wasn't pretty, but Hernandez will take it anyway. Stott had a very good light, but shook and pedaled. So did Hernandez, but Hernandez got his tires hooked up better than Stott did and pulled away for the win.

Wantye wasted a good run with a red light and Hamstra needed it because his Duster tried to turn right and attack the wall.

Both drivers have been champions in NHRA Top Alcohol racing, Snyder in the Funny Car eliminator and Nicholson in Dragster.

Nicholson was late and Snyder picked up another tenth enroute to the stripe. He will have lane choice against Hamstra in round two.

Taylor left first and was never headed. Robbins shook and pedaled a couple times. Taylor will have lane choice against Hernandez in round two.

Martin left first and ran almost as quickly as he qualified. That gives him lane choice against Leggett next round.

Last pair. Hossler's car lost some fluid when he backed up from the burnout, but it was alcohol and dried quickly.

Recchia left early and Hossler almost duplicated his qualifying run for the win. He will have lane choice against D'Aprile in the quarterfinals.
