CLERMONT, Ind. -- The 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, the 17th of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. Professional competitors in four categories earn points leading to 2003 NHRA POWERade championships.

Sportsman competitors in seven categories earn points leading to 2003 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series championships.

WHERE: Indianapolis Raceway Park, Clermont, Ind. From I-465, exit Crawfordsville Road (Hwy. 136). Head west for approximately four miles through the town of Clermont. The main entrance to the facility is on the left-hand side, one-half mile past Raceway Road.

WHEN: Friday through Sunday, Sept. 5-7.

PURSE: Cash and contingency awards of more than $2.5 million.

SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY, Sept. 5 -- Sportsman time trials, 11a.m. to 5 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSION at 4:45 p.m.

SATURDAY, Sept. 6-- Sportsman eliminations, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING SESSIONS at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
BUDWEISER SHOOTOUT ELIMINATIONS at 12:30, 2:30, and 4 p.m.

SUNDAY, Sept. 7 -- Pre-race ceremonies, 10 a.m. FINAL ELIMINATIONS begin at 11 a.m.

TELEVISION:
Saturday, Sept. 6, ESPN2 will televise one hour of qualifying highlights at 11 p.m. (ET).
Sunday, Sept. 7, ESPN2 will televise two hours of qualifying highlights and the Budweiser
Shootout at 2 p.m. (ET).
Sunday, Sept. 7, ESPN2 will televise one hour of final eliminations at 11 p.m. (ET).

CURRENT Two rounds of professional qualifying were completed on Aug. 30. The current No. 1 qualifiers are: David Baca, Top Fuel; NO. 1's: Gary Scelzi, Funny Car; Greg Anderson, Pro Stock; Angelle Savoie, Pro Stock Bike.

2002 CHAMPIONS: Tony Schumacher, Top Fuel; John Force, Funny Car; Jeg Coughlin, Pro Stock; Angelle Savoie, Pro Stock Bike.

GENERAL ADMISSION (includes pit pass) -Friday: Adult, $30; Junior (6-17 years), $10; Child (5 years and under), free in general admission and pit areas each day. Saturday: Adult, $38; Junior (6-17 years), $10. Sunday: Adult, $46; Junior (6-17 years), $10.

RESERVED SEATS (includes pit pass) - Friday: Adult, $40; Junior (6-17 years), $20; Child (5 years and younger), $10. Saturday: Adult, $46-$50; Junior (6-17 years), $18-$22; Child (5 years and under), $8-$12. Sunday: Adult, $56-$60; Junior (6-17 years), $20-$24; Child (5 years and under), $10-$14.

RAIN POLICY: Tickets purchased for Aug. 29 will be honored on Friday, Sept. 5. Tickets for Aug. 31 will be honored on Saturday, Sept. 6. Tickets for Sept. 1 will be honored on Sunday, Sept. 7.
