Top Alcohol Funny Car Round 2 Eliminations

CLERMONT, Ind. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals:

Current weather conditions: 73 degrees, 50 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.10 inches, with a track temperature of 111 degrees.

Payne with big starting line advantage, but then had a lot of tire shake and Newberry was able to drive around him by 330 feet and takes the win.

Branch was out of the gate first and was loose right from the start, but was able to reel it in. This was a good drag race, Austin was able to chase him down around half track and took the win by about three feet.

Bucky Austin's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.017), 330 ft(-0.002), 660ft(0.009), 1,000ft(0.011). MOV: 0.0073 seconds (approximately 3 feet).

White with the starting line advantage and then Snyder was out ahead from 60 feet to just past half track and then White was able to drive back around and take the win. White will give up lane choice to Newberry.

Craig with a starting line advantage and never looked back to take the win. Sickles was loose right off the starting line and close to the wall and never lifted, but couldn't chase him down.

Craig will give up lane choice to Austin>
