Pro Stock Bike Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Bike at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 16th annual O'Reilly NHRA Mid-South Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Michael Lozano Runs 7.769/166.39, Now #27; Best prior run: 7.711/162.27, Was #27
Right Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.353/179.06, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.467/176.51, Was #25

2:37 PM Current weather conditions: 77 degrees, 51 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.14 inches, with a track temperature of 124 degrees.

Harris makes a big improvement but still can't get in the show. Lozano slows from his earlier run and won't make the field.

Two clean runs, right down the groove, just not enough for either rider to make the show.

Left Lane: Keith Freeman Runs 7.453/178.68, Now #25; Best prior run: 7.427/177.93, Was #25
Right Lane: Josh Helvie Runs 7.286/175.34, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.341/176.88, Was #22



Left Lane: Todd Doege Runs 7.346/181.28, Now #21; Best prior run: 7.319/177.44, Was #20
Right Lane: Keith Dennis Runs 7.318/181.23, Now #20; Best prior run: 7.332/179.66, Was #22

Same story, different pair, both good runs but not enough.

No movement in this session so far, most of the bikes are a little off their earlier pace. Grimes gets through the lights and has a small fire, quickly put out by the Safety Safari.

Left Lane: GT Tonglet Runs 7.338/175.14, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.216/177.95, Was #11
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.283/184.50, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.245/183.29, Was #14



Left Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.212/186.12, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.212/181.59, Was #10
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 7.520/176.19, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.231/180.81, Was #13

Phillips makes a good run, the quickest of the round to this point.

Left Lane: Reggie Showers Runs 7.255/180.21, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.186/188.46, Was #7
Right Lane: Sean Conner Runs 7.242/184.67, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.223/185.26, Was #12

Two good runs but still no improvement.

Same story, good runs but no improvement.

Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.252/181.64, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.197/183.79, Was #8

Good run for Hines, the second quickest of the round so far.

Left Lane: Geno Scali Runs 7.165/186.95, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.119/187.13, Was #2
Right Lane: Fred Collis Runs 7.191/185.61, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.147/185.97, Was #4



Left Lane: Angelle Savoie Runs 7.143/184.17, Now #1; Best prior run: 7.096/185.26, Was #1
Right Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.158/187.39, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.125/187.76, Was #3

Savoie makes a move to the right off the line, but she straightens it up and runs the quickest of the session. This ends PSB qualifying with Savoie in the number one spot taking on Grimes.
