Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Final Session

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual O'Reilly Super Start Batteries NHRA Fall Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Redell Harris Runs 7.452/177.70, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.315/179.42, Was #19

2:37 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 48 percent, barometer 29.50 inches, adjusted altitude 2,823 feet, track temperature 111 degrees.

Harris drifts toward the center line all the way through the run.


Left Lane: Junior Pippin Runs 7.106/185.08, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.135/185.28, Was #16
Right Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 7.161/188.89, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.171/186.25, Was #18

Pippin makes his quickest pass of the weekend and gets off the bump. Phillips improves slightly but not enough to get in the show.

Left Lane: Peggy Llewellyn Runs 7.103/184.93, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.114/186.05, Was #16
Right Lane: David Hope Runs 9.615/92.74, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.137/184.88, Was #17

Hope starts moving around about 400 feet out and backs off the throttle. Llewellyn makes her quickest pass of the weekend and gets off the bump.

Left Lane: Joe DeSantis Runs 7.152/188.20, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.067/189.87, Was #12
Right Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.118/184.93, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.111/185.46, Was #16

Berry makes a decent pass but can't get off the bump. The good news, he is in the show. DeSantis slows from his earlier pass and will stay in the 12th spot.

Left Lane: Matt Guidera Runs 7.081/186.12, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.059/188.60, Was #11
Right Lane: Angie McBride Runs 7.158/185.72, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.109/186.82, Was #15

The trend continues, everyone seems to slowing from the earlier session.

Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.056/188.52, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.055/189.50, Was #10
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.044/189.79, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.044/188.67, Was #9

A nice side-by-side, both right down the groove, almost matching the times from the earlier session.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 7.001/190.75, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.036/187.47, Was #8
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.045/190.06, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.032/189.58, Was #7

Smith makes a great pass here, the quickest of the round so far, and he moves into the fourth spot for now.

Left Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 7.021/185.79, Now #7; Best prior run: 7.017/187.42, Was #7
Right Lane: Chip Ellis Runs 7.019/190.40, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.004/189.79, Was #5

A couple of decent passes but no improvement for either.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.017/189.26, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.008/190.16, Was #6
Right Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 6.997/190.67, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.990/188.81, Was #3



Left Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 6.998/191.27, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.985/190.94, Was #2
Right Lane: Eddie Krawiec Runs 6.992/191.92, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.970/191.65, Was #1

A couple of good runs to end the session. Krawiec is on the pole, Mike Berry is on the bump spot at 7.111.
