ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual O'Reilly Super Start Batteries NHRA Fall Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Brandon Pierce Runs 5.330/274.78, Now #2; Best prior run: 17.654/58.64, Was #18

It didn't sound like a great pass, but it was as he goes to the number two spot with his quickest pass of the season. Brandon Pierce's incremental times: 60ft-0.960 sec., 330ft-2.462, 660ft-3.582/225.00mph, 1,000ft-4.523

Left Lane: Del Cox Jr. Runs 5.478/257.63, Now #9; Best prior run: 14.097/80.76, Was #18
Right Lane: Brittany Force Runs 5.534/260.41, Now #11; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 86 degrees, relative humidity 41 percent, barometer 29.44 inches, adjusted altitude 2,976 feet, track temperature 107 degrees.

Odom is dropping cylinders right off the starting line. No help here for Evans.

Whiteley with a great pass to go to the number one spot. David Brounkowski's incremental times: 60ft-1.164 sec., 330ft-2.705, 660ft-3.859/216.51mph, 1,000ft-4.850 No help here for Brounkowski.
