CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Competition Eliminator at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Inaugural NHRA Carolinas Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed this round, amount over/under index this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time, speed & over/under Index, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Gary Wisecarver Runs 9.159/148.25/-0.401, Now #32; H/SM Index: 9.56, Prior Best: 9.131/147.36/-0.429, Was #32
Right Lane: Jake Crimmins Runs 6.534/216.79/-0.536, Now #11; AA/AM Index: 7.07, Prior Best: 6.534/217.18/-0.536, Was #11

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 67 percent, barometer 29.50 inches, adjusted altitude 2,954 feet, track temperature 102 degrees.

1:44 p.m. We enter the final session of qualifying in Comp. Crimmins ties his quickest pass of weekend with this run, he started to drift towards the wall at the finish-line. Wisecarver is on the bump before this run and he will remain on the bump after this run.

Houghtaling is not able to improve and he will remain on the outside of the field. Biondo makes no improvement either and he remains in the #2 spot.

Scott makes his quickest run of the weekend, but it is not good enough to bump him into the show. Linebarrier is unable to improve on his time from earlier.

Cervellis slows a little, but Wright improves with this pass and he now goes from outside to inside the field.

Frech is not able to make the run and he will not make the show. Yates improves on his time and position by 1 spot.

Terry makes a nice improvement and he moves up in the field. Puckett improves but not enough to bump into the field.

Bilbrey will not make the show. Johnson makes a nice solid run.

Matusek was on a great run, but he shuts the car off early. Rose was not able to improve and he not be part of the big show.

Bertozzi has made steady improvements all weekend, and he continues with this pass, as he will go to the 8th spot. Costa jumps up the ladder by 4 spots.
