Left Lane: Melinda Green-King Runs 10.454/79.46, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 75 percent, barometer 29.52 inches, adjusted altitude 2,639 feet, track temperature 93 degrees.
The sun is trying to
burn through the clouds but it hasn't been able to do so as of yet. Green-King will look to
improve later today in the 2nd session of qualifying.
Left Lane: Bill Naves Runs 6.301/223.43, Now #2
Right Lane: Mark Rogers Runs 6.059/239.31, Now #1
Rogers makes a decent run for the moment. Naves he was able to make a full pull. But both of these teams will be looking forward to the session that is scheduled later today to improve.
Left Lane: Brian Harvanek Runs 5.825/230.41, Now #2
Right Lane: Lou Sgro Runs 5.795/225.45, Now #1
Great pair of runs here. Sgro was on great pass, but for some reason was no under full power as he went through the lights. Harvanek in the other lane had the best short number of the round so far.

Left Lane: Fred Tigges Runs 5.687/254.81, Now #1
Right Lane: Paul Gill Runs 5.783/230.72, Now #2
The numbers are getting better. Tigges makes the run of a lifetime. He lays down a career best and is now in the top spot. Gill no slouch either as he sits in the 2nd spot for the time being.

Left Lane: DJ Cox Jr. Runs 10.628/106.79, Now #9
Right Lane: Mark Billington Runs 5.743/253.04, Now #2
Billington makes a great pass as he was able to make a full pull in his car to slide into the 2nd spot on the sheet. Cox was soft off the line, and coasted through the lights after he lifted early.

Left Lane: Nick Bastiao Runs 5.719/255.73, Now #2
Right Lane: John Anderika Runs 5.750/228.27, Now #4
A pair of good runs here. Anderika had better early numbers, but Bastiao has the better top end numbers. Anderika was not under full power at the finish-line as his speed shows that.
Left Lane: John Bojec Runs 5.812/251.06, Now #8
Right Lane: Marc White Runs 5.646/253.37, Now #1
White launches hard and he lays down the best pass of the round so far. Bojec makes a good solid run here in the first round of qualifying.

Nothstein's short numbers are a little bit slow, but still manages a decent pass to gain some information for the next session. Snyder though lands in the 3rd spot with his great pass to open his weekend.
Left Lane: Steve Harker Runs 5.631/257.14, Now #2
Right Lane: Frank Manzo Runs 5.610/260.86, Now #1
Both of these cars are very capable of going to the top spot on the ladder. Well how about 1 and 2. Manzo does it again. Haker in the other lane makes a great pass. We get great runs to end the session.
