4:27 PM This is Bernstein's 115th career final round appearance, his 67th in Top Fuel. He has 35 Top Fuel victories. He has faced Dixon twice this season in eliminations, each driver winning once against the other. Dixon beat Bernstein in the final round of the Chicagoland Dodge Nationals last year. Dixon has reached the final round 12 times this season and won 8 of those. Miller Lite Top Fuel team owner Don Prudhomme is three wins away from a career total of 100 wins. He holds 49 wins as a driver and 48 wins as a team owner of both Top Fuel and Funny Car teams. Dixon has held the POWERade points lead since May 4, 2003, in Atlanta.

All of the candles were lit all of the way down the track for both drivers. Bernstein has the better set-up and he gets his first win as a driver this season.
