Confident Electrical Issues are Solved

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. -- Junior Pippin, the 55-year-old rookie rider of the
PiranaZ Racing/Pippin Racing S&S-proven-performance-powered V-Twin, is looking to qualify at the
Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals here at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.
Pippin's DNQ at the last event of the National Hot Rod Association's POWERade Pro Stock
Motorcycle tour, the Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals (June 6-8) in Joliet, Ill., ended
his
five consecutive qualifying streak, dating back to his initial entry at last year's season finale
in Pomona,
Calif., but he remained optimistic.
"We'll be okay as long as we get out there and race," said the Conyers, Ga. native.
Pippin expected to squeeze in a test session between Joliet and Englishtown, but was unable.
"We tried to test, but couldn't work out a date with the track. But we were able to take the
motorcycle to the G2 Motorsports shop and we figured out the issue. It got good power on the
dynamometer and we've got it straightened out."
Pippin suffered electrical issues all throughout the two-day qualifying sessions at Joliet, but had
no complaints.
"Every day is a good day, and every chance I get to drag race is another blessing."
