Left Lane: Gordie Rivera Runs 6.806/202.70, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.775/203.65, Was #22
Right Lane: Bob Panella Runs 6.750/205.44, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.808/205.44, Was #24
Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 27 percent, barometer 28.95 inches, adjusted altitude 2,600 feet, track temperature 106 degrees. Toughest conditions of the weekend. It's going to be difficult to improve significantly in this session. Greg Stanfield is on the bump spot at 6.689.
Panella finds some more HP and is able to move up two spots on the
ladder and push Rivera down a spot. Neither car came close to qualifying.

No joy for these two either. Hankinson with a full pull and Brown off the throttle before mid-track.

6.689 is the bump and Koretsky ran 6.690 on his last pass. Close doesn't count though, as neither car can improve and qualify.
Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.684/207.11, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.689/207.05, Was #16
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.710/206.80, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.687/207.02, Was #15
Stanfield makes the best pass of the session so far and puts Edwards on the bump. He has the power and tune up to move three spots up the ladder.

Humphreys' car moves around on the low end and he doesn't improve. Naylor shows the Hemi power and moves five spots up the ladder with a clean and straight pass.

Hammonds car wiggles bad at the hit and he slows.Morgan runs a little slower than his best.

Big move out of the groove for Krisher after sixty feet. He pulls back into the groove to finish the run. No improvement for either driver.
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.722/191.02, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.670/208.49, Was #8
I think that Kirk Johnson should have been in the left lane for this session. Line gets away well and then slows on the top end.
Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.675/207.02, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.665/206.76, Was #5
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.695/207.21, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.669/206.86, Was #7
Two clean passes and two more good tune ups for tomorrow. Stevens is quickest of the session, so far.

Second best run of the weekend for Anderson and a quick run for Coughlin too. Most everyone is making decent passes, but the weather is not allowing many improvements.

Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.718/207.43, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.655/208.49, Was #3
Connolly's car moves out of the groove about 100 feet out and he has to horse it back into the middle of the lane. Johnson's car may have spun the tires, as his sixty foot numbers are less than stellar
3:24 p.m. Connolly stays on the top with his 6.648 ET and Mike Edwards is on
the bump spot at 6.687.
