Both cars have the power to get in this tough field and with two straight and true runs they move well up the qualifying ladder. Hammonds time may keep him in for this session.

Almost identical sixty foot times, but Johnson power takes over and pushes the GTO into the current top spot and fastest MPH. Hankinson slows a little from his prior best.
Left Lane: Todd Hoerner No Time, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.804/204.57, Was #23
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.685/207.69, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.699/206.73, Was #15
Hoerner is leaking Stuff on the starting line and he is shut off and pushed away. Humphreys' car gets the wheels up and then moves around at the hit. He still improves enough to likely keep him in the show for now.

Good looking passes for both cars and they join the group moving up the ladder. Edwards shows the power and gets the #11 spot by 0.002 seconds.

All six sixty field now. Johnson has the best sixty foot time of the session so far and parleys it into a current #3 position. Koretsky finds the tune up too and moves five spots up the ladder to the current #15 spot for now.
11:30 a.m.Things go bad on the top end for KJ, as the
chutes don't completely deploy and blossom. He starts to porpoise the car, hard on the brakes, and
drives way onto the beach. The front end plows a big furrow, slowing the car, until it finally
stops near the catch net. The carbon fiber front end is torn up big time, but the car looks to be
repairable to my untrained eye. Lots of dirt, but all of the big pieces are still

the field for now. Morgan has a better MPH, but can't quite match his prior best ET.

Kenny Koretsky is on the bump spot at 6.690 and Naylor picks up enough to get into the field for now. Krisher's car was off pace at the sixty foot lights and doen't improve.

Jeg Coughlin is now on the bump spot at 6.689 and can't be bumped. It doesn't matter, as both cars thunder down the track and well into the top half of the field. Nice runs.
Stanfield is on the bump spot at 6.689.

Stevens' car moves around at the hit and it slows him a little. Line gets a small ET improvement, but both cars will stay in their current qualify positions.
