Pro RWD Final, Round 2 Eliminations
By Dan Bennett

CLERMONT, Ind. - Results of final, round 2 eliminations in Pro RWD at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals:

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
8 Manny Cruz 2142 Boris Rojas
E2 0.200 10.755 90.49 ****WINNER**** 0.706 7.802 163.04
 Prior rounds:
E1 (B Personett ) 0.211 9.941 102.88 (G White ) 1.451 13.084 102.07
 Qualified: #4 8.706 156.50 #3 7.642 169.64
It's a battle of eastern racers and Cougar vs Mazda (Ranger clone for those of you keeping score at home).

Cruz leaves first by a bunch. His Cougar starts breaking up and puffing smoke just before half track and Rojas shoots by.

Boris wins by a train length but starts smokingly heavily on the big end and across the finish line.

The track crew is rolling for a cleanup in both lanes with the emphasis on the right lane.

I'll give it to the FWD guys - that was a great show.
