LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals:

Jeg is the 2002 event champ and he holds a 24 to 19 advantage in head to head match ups. Johnson is the defending event champion, and this is 284th start. Johnson with a slight starting line advantage, but Coughlin had the difference made up as they went by the Christmas tree. Jeg Coughlin's MOV: 0.0153 seconds (approximately 5 feet).

This the fourth consecutive race Martino has qualified in the top half of the field. He holds a five to one advantage in head to head battles. Martino with a great light and never looked back for the win light.

Anderson won this race in 2003 and 2004, and holds a 22 to 3 advantage over Edwards in head to head match ups. Edwards was out of the gate first, but Anderson had the difference made up by 100 feet. Greg Anderson's MOV: 0.0294 seconds (approximately 9 feet). Anderson with the quickest pass of the first round, so far.

Connolly will give up lane choice to Martino in round two.

This is the 15th time this year Allen Johnson has qualified in the top half of the show. This the fifth time he has qualified in the number two spot. Stevens holds a seven to four advantage in head to head match ups. Allen Johnson with the starting line and has the lead until just before 1000 feet when he has problems and pushes in the clutch. Stevens will have lane choice over Morgan in the next round.

This the tenth time Line has qualified number one and the sixth time this year. He has qualified for 72 consecutive races, and he holds a four to three advantage over WJ in head to head match ups. WJ with a big starting line advantage, but Line has the difference made up by the time they drive by the Christmas tree. Line with the quickest pass of round one and he will have lane choice over Coughlin in the next round.

This is the fourth race in a row Lee has qualified in the top half of the field. This is the 41st different driver Koretsky has faced in his career. Koretsky with a big starting line advantage and they are tied at the 1000-foot mark. Lee was able drive around him for the win. Tommy Lee's MOV: 0.0056 seconds (approximately 20 inches). Lee will give up lane choice to Anderson in the next round.
