Rain Wipes Out Friday at VMP
By Larry Sullivan
2:30 p.m. - Once again, Mother Nature comes up a winner.
Friday's racing at Virginia Motorsports Park has been canceled.
It's cold, damp, and more rain is headed this way.
Weather permitting, racing will begin tomorrow with a Sportsman qualifying/time trial session at 8:15 a.m., followed by eliminations
in the afternoon.
Top Alcohol and Competition Eliminator will have two qualifying sessions Saturday, with Competition Eliminator coming back for one
round of eliminations later in the day.
Professional competitors will get two rounds of qualifying Saturday to set the fields for Sunday's eliminations.
Come back tomorrow, maybe Mother Nature will give us a break.
