Top Alcohol Dragster Round 3 Eliminations
By Rick Green

MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals:

 Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-----Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed

2:33 p.m.

The track in in great shape and the sun is currently behind the clouds.

Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 55 percent, barometer 29.65 inches, adjusted altitude 1,090 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

The Canadian dudes are high fiving (though it's in French so I think that's what they're doing) as they lay down another strong pass.

Veale had a slight advantage off the line but the Mercier car came thundering by downtrack.

Gallant's a hitter, but Finke has been running strong, too.

It's a tremendous race between two injected fuel cars.

Gallant quivered, then shook the tires on the way to 330. From that point the car just sucked down to the track and his strong run overcame his starting line handicap.

Our pals from North of the Border have their hands full for the final.
