Pro Stock Motorcycle Round 1 Eliminations

MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals:

12:10 p.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 61 degrees, relative humidity 66 percent, barometer 29.65 inches, adjusted altitude 656 feet, track temperature 84 degrees.

These two riders were three and three against each other coming into this race. Schnitz was runner-up last year. Schnitz had this one to 1,000 feet, then Treble got by him to take the win.

Craig Treble's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.002), 330 ft(-0.021), 660ft(-0.017), 1,000ft(-0.007). MOV: 0.0053 seconds (approximately 17 inches).

Guidera is making his 19th start. He's the 50th different rider that Scali has faced in elimination. This was another close one. Guidera got out of the gate first and led past the 1,000 foot mark but let Scali get by him for the win.

Geno Scali's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.028), 330 ft(-0.032), 660ft(-0.028), 1,000ft(-0.020). MOV: 0.0027 seconds (approximately 9 inches).

Brown has 13 wins and four losses against Johnson. He was runner up here in 2004, Johnson was runner-up in 1995.

Johnson left too soon, so Brown got the win.

Stoffer was runner-up in 2002. Ellis is making his 32nd start and only the second from the bottom half of the field. The two riders came off the line together, then Stoffer pulled ahead for the win.

Hines has 10 wins and three losses against Tonglet.

Another odd one! The points leader ran in the sixes but still lost this race, thanks to a slow start, Tonglet will race Scali in the next round with Scali having lane choice.

Sampey has started from the top spot in the order 39 times In the 10 times she's raced here, she's been in the final round eight times and won six of them. She was runner-up here in 2004 and 2005. Bradford is in his 17th race and lost the only time he faced Sampey.

This race was Sampey's all the way. She'll have lane choice over Treble next time out.

Gast has raced three different riders named Smith.

This Smith left the starting line too soon, so Gast got the easy win. He'll face Stoffer in the second round and Stoffer will have lane choice.
