Harper made his burnout, then
shut it off. Pittman finally got down the track, came up short of the bump time on a decent pass.

Mills was supposed to run beside Vick, but when Harper's car was shut off it was for leaking something on the track and Mills had to wait for the cleanup before he could run.
Mills made a clean-looking run, but was off the competitive pace from the

Rowe was at his daughter's high school graduation and did not run yesterday, so this was his first pass of the event. He made a nice out-of-the-box pass here to bump into the field and shake things up again. Now Dennis Radford is on the bump spot at 6.255.
Left Lane: Ross Hogenson Runs 6.382/219.61, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.389/216.76, Was #23
Right Lane: Joe Delehay Runs 14.336/59.45, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.389/225.63, Was #22
Lots of tire spin and shake in both lanes, Delehay pedaling twice, then coasting through, Hogenson getting hooked back up after one pedal job. However, no help for either driver.
Left Lane: Mike Castellana Runs 6.260/221.27, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.281/216.45, Was #19
Right Lane: Trevor Lowe Runs 6.340/223.95, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.323/223.36, Was #20
Castellana made a string-straight run, came up one spot short of the field. Lowe failed to improve, this run almost a duplicate of the one he made last night.
Left Lane: Dennis Radford Runs 6.281/222.69, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.255/223.25, Was #16
Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 6.198/230.29, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.266/219.22, Was #19
Janis bumped back into the field with low ET of the round so far, bumping Radford from the field. Now Pat Stoken is on the bump spot at 6.249.

There will not be any more bumping during this session, but Stoken just moved to the bump spot and wanted to get off. Bareman lost traction and lifted after shaking the tires for 50 feet or so. Stoken was slightly out of the groove and failed to improve.

martin's car went to the right, started spinning the tires, and he lifted. Auxier shook hard as he passed the Christmas tree and he also lifted.

This is turning into one of those "feast or famine" sessions, the cars either making very nice runs or very bad runs, not much in between. This was a pair of good runs, both right down the groove without any apparent tire shake.

Right Lane: Carl Spiering Runs 6.183/230.53, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.168/231.12, Was #5
Two more nice runs - no improvement for either driver, but good middle-of-the-afternoon runs.

Right Lane: Ed Hoover Runs 16.406/60.52, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.154/229.27, Was #4
Both cars had early shake, Hoover's car violently losing traction while Jenkins was able to drive through it.
Left Lane: Kenny Lang Runs 6.254/228.38, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.206/228.58, Was #9
Right Lane: Scott Cannon Runs 6.156/234.45, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.144/233.28, Was #2
Cannon made one of the nice runs, low ET of the round so far. Lang also made a good run, staying close to 1,000 feet, then falling back quickly.
Left Lane: Jim Halsey Runs 6.507/177.30, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.145/227.88, Was #3
Right Lane: Rick Distefano Runs 6.189/232.27, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.134/228.42, Was #1
Last pair. Halsey led Ricky D to half track, then slowed. Distefano went right down the groove, with a very strong finish.
With one round left, Distefano stays #1 at 6.134 and Pat Stoken is on the bump spot at 6.249.
