Left Lane: Jack Wyatt Runs 6.397/175.81, Now #5; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Smax Smith No Time, Now #8; No Prior Run

Wyatt shook, got sideways, pedaled, the
chute came out, and he towed it the rest of the way. It wasn't pretty, but it got him into the field for now. Smith, who was the
European Top Fuel champion in 2003, hit the throttle and the car gave up the ghost, the engine going silent. He coasted down the
track, stopping short of the finish line. Since he didn't reach the finish line, the run won't count and he has one more shot at the
field for eliminations.
Right Lane: Vicky Fanning No Time, Now #10; No Prior Run
This will be Fanning's first run in IHRA competition. Well, if the car made it to the starting line, it would have been - the car made a very rough burnout, then stopped and would not go into reverse - or forward. Finally Brent Fanning signaled her to shut it off.
Left Lane: Gary Cooper Runs 5.552/210.13, Now #4; Best prior run: 12.916/75.59, Was #7
Right Lane: Bob Gilbertson Runs 7.658/122.74, Now #7; Best prior run: 9.511/100.04, Was #6
Gilbertson launched, started to smoke the tires, pedaled, and shook, possibly getting all four wheels in the air at once. Cooper made a good run to about 1,000 feet, then the car made a move toward the wall and he shut it down, putting the chutes out.
Right Lane: Terry Haddock Runs 5.840/172.14, Now #3; Best prior run: 5.482/201.47, Was #3
This was a nice-looking run to about half track, then the car started moving around and he shut it off.
Left Lane: Paul Lee Runs 4.955/300.30, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.072/301.70, Was #2
Right Lane: Dale Creasy Jr. Runs 10.245/92.71, Now #1; Best prior run: 4.870/306.01, Was #1
Creasy went into tire shake early in his run and had to lift. Lee went right down the groove and made it two cars in the fours so far, just over 300 mph.
