Right Lane: Jim Halsey Runs 6.237/226.75, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.222/227.21, Was #10

Right Lane: Alan Pittman Runs 6.256/226.47, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.217/227.56, Was #9

Right Lane: Carl Spiering Runs 6.172/230.71, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.211/229.88, Was #8

Nice pass by Spiering, keeping the car in the groove all the way down the track despite its attempts to move toward the centerline.

Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 6.133/233.16, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.178/230.47, Was #5

Janis' car went way left, then back to the groove. He still managed to move up to the #2 spot. Roemer made a nice run, had a good seat to watch Janis.

Left Lane: Glen Kerunsky Runs 6.184/230.29, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.198/229.41, Was #7
Right Lane: Steve Bareman Runs 12.803/66.65, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.161/234.37, Was #4

Kerunsky had some early shake, drove out of it and made a nice run. Baremen also had some early shake, but his got harder and he had to lift.

Left Lane: Quain Stott Runs 10.828/80.31, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.157/231.54, Was #3
Right Lane: Tommy D'Aprile Runs 6.098/234.19, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.084/235.10, Was #1

Last pair, Stott the car owner, D'Aprile the tenant in his second car. Stott shook early and threw in the towel, but D'Aprile continues to outrun the field once again, the only run under 6.10 for the second round in a row. And his windshield was coated with oil when he got to the other end, so that bullet may be wounded.

With just one shot left, D'Aprile remains #1, but the rest of the field was completely rearranged and Dennis Radford is on the bump spot at 6.251.
