POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 time trials in Summit Bike/Sled at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 41st annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Roy Nealy Jr. Runs 8.702/144.12, Now #1; Best prior run: 8.654/142.09, Was #1
Right Lane: Mark Canty Runs 10.227/130.24, Now #6; Best prior run: 10.172/129.19, Was #6

6:58 p.m.

Left Lane: Donnie Durenberger Runs 9.621/137.01, Now #4; Best prior run: 9.606/135.77, Was #4
Right Lane: Chad Beery Runs 26.336/20.78, Now #7; No Prior Run

Beery broke on his first test pass. He slowede early on this pass.

Left Lane: Ken Van Buren No Time, Now #2; Best prior run: 8.760/145.05, Was #2
Right Lane: Barry Stephens Runs 9.309/138.76, Now #3; Best prior run: 9.290/139.88, Was #3

Van Buren's engine died at the green.

Right Lane: Eric Cook Runs 9.645/129.65, Now #5; Best prior run: 9.608/130.28, Was #5

"Big E" closed out the round with a nice run.
