Mike Thomas is on the bump spot at 6.765. Conditions are almost perfect, so the field should be thoroughly shuffled by the time the round is over. A thin layer of clouds has kept the track cool almost all day and starting line traction was the biggest problem yesterday.
Both had 1.00 60-foot times, both went right down the track. Krisher bumped in,
Grant came up short. Now Allen Johnson is on the bump spot at 6.763.

Martino got Morgan's new Stratus into the field nicely - for now, anyway. Now Dave Howard is on the bump spot at 6.763.

Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.749/204.51, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.772/203.61, Was #21
So far, the only driver under 1.00 seconds for 60 feet was Naylor. Smith was the second, with a 0.998 short time. Both drivers bumped into the field, putting Greg Stanfield on the bump spot at 6.750.

Martino just put Morgan's other car into the field. Morgan's car took the long way to the 330-foot marker, making a big "S-turn." Panella also got into the field.

Thomas started the round on the bump spot in Kenny Koretsky's Nitrofish Wear Stratus. He got it back in very nicely here. Stanfield also bumped back in, but that time may not hold up for long.

Edwards slowed early in the run with tire shake. AJ did a nice job to get back into the field.

Both made good runs, but Howard's run lowered the bump time and Gaines came up short after some early tire shake.

Yates' car made a hard right turn, toward the wall, and he had to lift. Connolly made a nice run after a 1.00 60-foot time. Greg Stanfield is on the bump spot at 6.727.

This was fun to watch until after the finish line, then Line's car went long when the chutes malfunctioned - well into the sand box. The nose of the carbon fibre GTO body is badly damaged, the sand caving it in as the car came to a stop.
