LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Fifth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.321/181.08, Now #12; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 32 percent, barometer 28.40 inches, adjusted altitude 3,220 feet, track temperature 93 degrees.

Gann was light in the first round and makes a good pass here.


Left Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 7.268/181.13, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.751/168.85, Was #25
Right Lane: Thomas Byrd Jr. Runs 7.888/162.96, Now #26; Best prior run: 28.000/0.00, Was #27

Rivas with a good looking pass to get into the top half of the show and that will bump out Phillips.

Left Lane: Connie Cohen Runs 7.500/175.25, Now #23; Best prior run: 7.476/169.91, Was #22
Right Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.439/182.67, Now #20; Best prior run: 12.521/120.82, Was #27

Wells improves, but not enough to get into the show.

Left Lane: Jay Matthews Runs 10.183/79.23, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.452/180.02, Was #22
Right Lane: Ken Martin Runs 7.608/176.86, Now #26; Best prior run: 7.668/175.50, Was #26
