MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 21st annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Connie Cohen Runs 7.601/171.29, Now #23; Best prior run: 7.529/157.65, Was #22
Right Lane: Chris Rivas Runs 7.217/182.85, Now #9; Best prior run: 10.155/80.36, Was #25

11:19 a.m. - Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 65 percent, barometer 29.83 inches, adjusted altitude 1,313 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

Cohen's bike was slow from the start. Her 60-foot time was 1.260 seconds.

Neither driver was as quick as yesterday afternoon.

Left Lane: Wesley Wells Runs 7.362/177.02, Now #22; Best prior run: 7.340/182.67, Was #22
Right Lane: Hector Arana Runs 7.320/178.68, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.272/186.20, Was #18



Left Lane: Michael Phillips Runs 10.028/87.23, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.244/184.52, Was #16
Right Lane: Shawn Gann Runs 7.249/183.10, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.324/183.34, Was #21

Phillips spun the rear tire when he launched. He drove through it but then slowed at mid track. Gann had his quickest run of the weekend but was not quick enough to make the field.

Left Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.230/184.47, Now #12; Best prior run: 7.244/184.70, Was #15
Right Lane: Geno Scali Runs 7.267/183.59, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.234/184.17, Was #12

Stoffer was the first rider in this session to improve her place in the qualifying order. She moved up three spots in the order and pushed Scali down one spot.

Left Lane: Mike Berry Runs 7.244/180.77, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.213/184.50, Was #8
Right Lane: Matt Guidera Runs 7.495/149.63, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.263/181.03, Was #18



Left Lane: Tom Bradford Runs 7.457/177.86, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.240/188.33, Was #15
Right Lane: Paul Gast Runs 7.267/182.01, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.238/183.27, Was #14



Left Lane: Craig Treble Runs 7.285/184.45, Now #11; Best prior run: 7.226/184.70, Was #11
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 7.154/186.41, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.218/183.34, Was #10

Johnson had a good run that moved him up four spots in the order.

Left Lane: Angelle Sampey Runs 7.128/182.08, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.170/190.92, Was #8
Right Lane: Antron Brown Runs 7.165/190.00, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.146/187.55, Was #4

Sampey moved up four spots with this run and pushed Brown down a spot.

Left Lane: GT Tonglet Runs 7.231/177.93, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.166/190.03, Was #8
Right Lane: Ryan Schnitz Runs 7.199/183.62, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.147/186.15, Was #6



Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 7.145/181.76, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.121/186.54, Was #3
Right Lane: Andrew Hines Runs 7.104/187.63, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.113/189.18, Was #2

Hines had his quickest run of the three qualifying sessions but it was not quick enough to change his place in the order.
