MOHNTON, Pa. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 21st annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Max Naylor Runs 6.858/200.80, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 39 percent, barometer 29.88 inches, adjusted altitude 2,147 feet, track temperature 117 degrees.

Naylor with his first pass in NHRA Pro Stock competition. This was a real nice pass to start to the weekend. Max Naylor's incremental times: 60ft-1.010 sec., 330ft-2.857, 660ft-4.402/159.44mph, 1,000ft-5.734

Right Lane: Bill Shorts Runs 7.131/192.33, Now #3

Benza with the quickest 60-foot time of the session. Bob Benza's incremental times: 60ft-1.009 sec., 330ft-2.863, 660ft-4.405/159.66mph, 1,000ft-5.731

Left Lane: Barry Grant Runs 6.988/193.13, Now #6
Right Lane: Mark Pawuk Runs 6.802/202.67, Now #1

Pawuk with a good looking pass to open the weekend.

Left Lane: Dave Howard Runs 6.798/203.31, Now #1
Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.804/202.06, Now #3

Watson with the quickest 60-foot time of the session and Howard with the quickest ET of the session.




Left Lane: Bruce Allen Runs 6.803/202.55, Now #4
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.801/203.16, Now #2

Both cars with good moves off the starting line and make nice passes.

Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.813/201.73, Now #7
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.795/203.40, Now #1

Edwards with a real good looking pass.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 6.811/202.48, Now #8
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.776/203.61, Now #1

Morgan with a real nice looking pass to go to number one spot. Morgan with the quickest 60-foot time of the session. Larry Morgan's incremental times: 60ft-0.992 sec., 330ft-2.820, 660ft-4.349/161.11mph, 1,000ft-5.666

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.786/201.82, Now #2
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.789/202.79, Now #3

This was a nice side by side drag race.

Left Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.777/203.19, Now #2
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.790/203.25, Now #5

Yates got a little out of the groove, but still goes to the nmumber two spot with a nice pass.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.759/204.17, Now #1
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.788/203.16, Now #5

Krisher with a good looking pass to go to the number one spot.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.794/202.97, Now #9
Right Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.761/204.20, Now #2

Connollly after struggling for a few races with a good looking pass to go to the number two spot.

Left Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.766/203.55, Now #3
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.820/203.22, Now #20



Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.766/203.86, Now #4
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.759/203.98, Now #2

A couple good looking passes, but only good for number two and four spots.
